3 Oak Wood Flooring idea brief was to bring the warmth of natural wood into the Kitchen.
The client currently had white tiles making it feel quite flat and cold next to their white kitchen however throughout the rest of the ground floor they had wood and the brief was to continue the wood into the kitchen.
The main part of the work was to put in place a new subfloor suitable for wood to go on top but without increasing the height. So 3Oak took on the task to remove the existing tiles by hand, after these had been removed the sub floor had to be made level this was done with a combination of self-levelling compound and 6mm plywood to create a solid and level sub floor base.
Once the levels had created the rest of the work was reasonably straightforward.
The dimension of the engineered flooring used was a 21mm x 180mm wide board in a character grade.
3 Oak used a natural oil for the colour and apply a top gloss coat to create a sheen level that bring a graceful and warm feel to it.
