For this particular project the Clients brief was to re-create the traditional feel of this period house whilist adopted a more contemporary impression in the new extension/dining/kitchen area.

So with this in mind it was discussed at conception to go for a traditional Oak herringbone parquet in the front of the house leading you to the new extension where it would run seamless into wide oak planks.

The parquet block size chosen was 21mm x 70mm x 350mm it was also decided to go for a double block border which finished of the herringbone pattern nicely.

Each parquet block running into the border had an additional tounge and groove allowing for extra strength at the the joints.

The grading chosen was a prime grade and the finish chosen used was a Satin from our Natural Oiled range leaving the floor with a slight sheen
